The African American Fund of New Jersey (AAF/NJ) promotes self help, stability and well-being within the community.
The community based organizations we support seek to strengthen the African American community through programs that provide basic life necessities and encourage self help.
Formerly the Black United Fund of New Jersey, the African American Fund of New Jersey since 1980 has touched the lives of over 3 million people who live in the state’s urban areas.
- Over $3.5 million in financial assistance has been given to approximately
700 community-based organizations
- 16 of the 21 NJ county health and human service agencies have
received our support
